They have 100% electrical continuity and are fully earthed, what's more there is no metal on metal contact internally. For added protection the assembly of the spring drum is conductive and is dust and liquid proof. Therefore they are ideal in potentially explosive environments.

Key Elements of ATEX Zero Gravity Spring Balancers

Perfect for tool positioning these particular spring balancers incorporate a worm screw for easy adjustment of the capacity to ensure the balancer is set specifically to work with the tool/load attached. The stroke length can also be adjusted to suit your requirements.

Models 9354-59AX have capacities ranging from 4kg to 25kg with a 2000mm stroke length whilst models 9502-59AX have capacities ranging from 20kg to 100kg with stroke lengths up to 2100mm, and also have the option of a floor control device and RC conductive rotating bottom hook.

Both model ranges have an option for a brake device to be added prior to ordering, it can not be added after. This is a friction brake to control the drum rotation speed.

All models have a sealed, cast aluminium housing which is ribbed for strength. They have tapered type drums on ball bearings with inert spring and an anti-friction cable guide for smooth running.

Also incorporated into the design is a locking device to block the tool at any position. The upper suspension hook has a safety catch and can be rotated.

Additionally there is a safety suspension anchor point for double anchoring for ultimate safety. Stainless steel cable ending with a thimble eye and safety snap connector finish the tool balancer. There is an option for an RC rotary hook.
